Would be great if MDN Documentation can be read offline as pdf's, iTunes U or iBooks on smart devices or desktop.

MDN have many essential documents but we cannot see it offline, cannot search locally, cannot develop without network.
As Javadoc etc, MDN should prepare downloadable weekly (or monthly) snapshot zip archive of some section like xul ref/tutorial, js ref/guide, dom ref ... etc.
# actually, migration of xul ref/tutorial from xulplanet to MDN(MDC) was regression about this

I believe it will not only solve offline development problem, but also reduce daily traffic to MDN.

MDN should have same feature.

HTTPS slows down access to MDN content for now good reason.

I was referred here by a webmaster to suggest that the Developer Network include links to wikis about cross-browser client-side technologies and best-practices. Specifically, I'm representing The HTML & CSS Wiki and the JavaScript Wiki, but if Mozilla were to determine that other wiki(s) are more appropriate I expect we would migrate our content there. It would be so great to a lot of us who want to do washups with mdn knowladge base to have access and documentation for mindtouch API interface, MDN wiki engine.
For example, sites like http://instacss.com (https://github.com/rgarcia/instacss) would't need to scrap mdn anymore!

Just like Google Code Playground - But using the Mozilla / Firefox characteristics, may only for Firefox users or available in all browsers: Live editing, experimental add-on, command line, bug tracking, and much other. It'll be great.

The old home page at https://developer.mozilla.org/en/ and current pages have a <link rel="search"> to an OpenSearch XML descript file. This feature of the Open Web is documented here:

The new home page, and probably the templates for the child pages, lack this. Since Firefox 4 is keeping both the search box and OpenSearch support, I think it’s better to add it. ;)

When I try to change my password using the MDN User Control Panel > Profile > Edit account settings, I am told that "The current password you entered is incorrect.". I am able to change my email address on this form, using the same current password, but I cannot get it to accept a new password. I think it needs fixing.

I'm actually viewing the html docs in a text-based browser in Emacs, but the principle is the same. The JavaScript reference (and others I assume) do not look good because of the massive site navigation bar at the top of the page.

we should use OSM maps because not every country have google maps enabled and used , and also google plan to sell maps for sites that have a lot visit of maps in a month

Make the site available for download so it can be browsed and searched offline.

Showing just three or four is painfully annoying, and the description text beneath each is pointless fluff. If you're here you probably already know what each technology does, and if you really want to keep it then show it using a hover tooltip.
