Downloadable snapshot (zip archive) of some section like xul ref.
MDN have many essential documents but we cannot see it offline, cannot search locally, cannot develop without network.
As Javadoc etc, MDN should prepare downloadable weekly (or monthly) snapshot zip archive of some section like xul ref/tutorial, js ref/guide, dom ref ... etc.
# actually, migration of xul ref/tutorial from xulplanet to MDN(MDC) was regression about this
I believe it will not only solve offline development problem, but also reduce daily traffic to MDN.
This is on our long-term feature roadmap for MDN.

Well, couldn't we have at least an interim solution in English as on Japanese MDN? I think we'll have plenty of time then to think about all bells and whistles we want to add to it, but first, there should be at least ONE solution in the hand, instead of 20 in the proverbial bush :)
What the Japanese guys could accomplish in such a short time period can't take us 3 years more to finish!
Claus: Good idea! I added it to the bug that John created.

Hi dynamis. I have added a bug for this:
I just wanted to echo Janet's point and also note that this is turning out to be a pretty popular request (see http://is.gd/h37Nvp). I'll be sure we take this into account while planning. Thanks!
Or when the offline apps are now all the rage ... cannot we have offline version of MDN (refresheable of course)?
